The crowds never cease…

Spent part of my day off Thursday checking out Roppongi Hills. I couldn’t believe how crowded it was for a regular weekday — apparently the office spaces are not making as much money as expected, but consumer sales are going well enough to account for the loss. There were a number of gray-haired crowds being lead around. If I recall correctly, a few tour buses were idling in the garage as well; it seems Roppongi Hills is becoming a Disney Land for the old and wealthy who want to venture to Tokyo. Ugh.

The picture is actually from a gallery space right next to the RH grounds; there were a few other installation pieces, but I particularly liked this one. It’s an interesting emphasis on the moulding between tiles that so often mildews in the bathroom :) For those who know the area, allow me to also plug Lapis — a fantastic stationary store behind the gallery space. Been going since I was a wee little boy.

Digg! delicious
