Our drinks, our selves

As I always do whenever I’m on vacation in the U.S., I infused myself with periodicals from the intellectually stimulating to the butt-wipe bathroom reading. Here’s an amusing snippet from the September Men’s Health which, I’m almost afraid to say, from my own observations this isn’t too far from the mark… :)

Q: What does a woman’s favorite alcoholic beverage say about her? — Bryan H., MS

A: This is even less reliable than astrology, but here goes: The women I know who prefer beer are generally down-to-earth and easy to please. The wine lovers are romantic, sensual, and superemotional. The girls who go nuts for those fancy, colorful cocktails are fashionistas who party hard but can be materialistic. The vodka-tonic types are sophisticated, sucessful, and a little predictable. Margarita quaffers are conservatives who like to go wild – but only on occasion. And the whiskey drinkers are lesbians. Just kidding. The whiskey drinkers are the serious, mature women who make decisions fast and follow through. In this case, the decision is to get drunk.
