Skip CDDJs completely

Just as you can’t convince a die-hard, vacuum tube loving audio enthusiast to switch to CDs, you won’t convince LP-loving DJs to convert to CDDJing, but you might convince prospective CDDJs to skip the boat and go directly to using their computer with something like this. I just tried it out, and though there are a few hitches, you can’t complain when it’s free. This runs along the lines of the iPod DJing craze, but DeKstasy is like having four iPods at your disposal. Once again, the main bottleneck becomes the interface; using a midi-controller with knobs is a first step, but if this were tied in with the audiopad, then we’d be talkin’ business. Once again, Kraftwerk was way ahead of the game.

Digg! delicious
