Mondo Grosso

MONDO GROSSO (a.k.a. Shinichi Osawa) ROCKS! His latest album — Next Wave — got me hooked, and I’ve since picked up MG4, Sergio Mendes Songs, and Fearless “The House”. All highly recommended. His newest album — Henshin — has “Everything Needs Love” remixed by Cornelius, who I mentioned a while back. I love the Next Wave version, so I can’t wait to hear what Cornelius has to “say” to it. Osawa has a unique knack for splicing-in his rhythmic interpretations while not completely overshadowing the original material. This is what World House should sound like. Hm, looks like he’ll be at AgeHa tomorrow night. Hm, indeed.
