Whipped up my own sample iTunes page. Unfortunately Apple now encrypts the connection with AES128, and their xml syntax seems non-standard. At the moment the only freely available iTunes SDK is for the visualizer; any others are supposedly for hardware developers only. HP made a smart move, in my opinion.

My ISP, rosenet, goofed and cutoff our connection over the weekend instead of changing the service like I had requested. Finally had it resolved this morning, having to miss 1/2 a day’s work in the process. Anyways, a “slashback” session, as they say:
Disclaimer: It shouldn’t have to be said, but all views expressed throughout this blog are strictly my own and in no way reflect those of my employer. This interesting article, originally from the NYT, sheds some light in connection to my previous post also originally sourced from the NYT. Being half Japanese, I have Japanese middlenames representable by characters. The English side of my business card has only initials for my middle names, but the Japanese side spells them out [...]

Have a meeting with a VP (one of hundreds) on Monday. Met him a few years ago and called me in after sending a rant. In prepping, I came across this interview which I hadn’t seen before. It’s a few years old, but interesting to see how our “leader” was thinking and [...]
Had dinner listening to some serious Macintosh history within Sony the other night. Koh took some pictures here. Also met a few who know an ol’ acquaintance from years ago — what a small world. Six degrees is only an average, that’s for sure.
Seems I missed a good show last night. Besides your standard CNN, BBC, MTV, and a few market-related programs, we still only get comedy reruns out here. And that’s already for a relative premium. I’d pay just to have a week’s worth of Tivo’d material…

Sony in your home?
I don’t know. When I think of high-end audio, Sony doesn’t exactly come to mind. Reputation is so key.
