Sony vs. Apple
eweek article on some upcoming Sony models. Too bad they don’t bother to share some of this with actual employees, if nothing but to boost moral. Not sure I totally agree with Enderle though. The hardware is only part of the equation that distinguishes between Wintel and Apple machines, and not even 1/2 of the argument. The tipping point may be the next killer app. To build OSX on a Unix framework was brilliant. To bring in NeXTStep technology was brilliant. No wonder Doom and the world’s first web browser were pioneered on the platform.

there’s no way the company would share new model info within the company before launch. too many leaks.
