Utada Hikaru
Bought my first (and probably last) Utada Hikaru album today — her Single Collection Vol. 1. (For those who don’t know, she is one of, if not the, highest grossing Japanese pop artist — and she just got married to her 40 year-old producer 35 year old video director (but that’s for another discussion)). Anyways, I was walking by a mom & pop CD store and the album caught my eye because it immediately reminded me of another (arguably fantastic) female artist’s album
– Madonna’s Immaculate Collection. Here they are side-by-side:
Upon direct comparison, they look rather different, but seeing as I hadn’t looked at the Immaculate Collection for a while, the general coloring and design I think share a semblance. As for the tunes themselves, I’ll leave that one open for discussion :)

Thanks Andrew, I updated it. Although I will point out that the second link you posted is also incorrect. I fail to see what my alma mater has in relation to the above.

Ah! So they are NOT exactly the same. When I saw Hikki’s album cover, I too thought it was a direct rip-off of Madonna’s BUT I never bothered to check them out. Cool that you posted them side by side.
Hikki ROCKS! Shame on you for buying only one of her albums. You should get ‘em all! I assure you, it’ll be money well spent!
