Great! build a walmart out in the middle of nowhere, where it's not all that appreciated, and smash all the little mom & pop businesses around! what is with the obsession to be more americanized? i think japan is beautiful just the way it is; there's no reason to have 2 americas, one is enough! i bet this walmart won't be that successful...just my speculation...

Great! build a walmart out in the middle of nowhere, where it's not all that appreciated, and smash all the little mom & pop businesses around! what is with the obsession to be more americanized? and if it's not coming from the japanese side, what's with the obsession to impose on others? look what it did for countries like cuba (pre-1959) and the congo. i think japan is beautiful just the way it is; there's no reason to have 2 americas, one is enough! i bet this walmart won't be that successful. there already are a lot of cheap 'everyday low price' type stores. if walmart tries to infiltrate tokyo or any other major city, it won't do well. we already have stores like Don Quijote, Daie (sp?), and huge supermarkets. (just me, ranting and raving) :-P
