Workers of the World, Relax

Workers of the World, Relax. Found this article through a summary in The Week – one of the best weekly publications on weekly news I’ve ever read.

Is it really so bad to have high expectations for work? I guess when the crap comes – and there’s always crap – there are those who just “deal with it,” and others who tell themselves they don’t have to take “this shit”. Perhaps in earlier civilizations there was less opportunity for full-filling “work”. With less diversity of “careers” and a comparatively underdeveloped societal framework, maybe. But there are now plenty of enriching, inspiring, full-filling projects – too many, perhaps – to waste one’s time with “grunt work”…. or am I being too optimistic?

Digg! delicious
