I love FireFox, but …

this is just ridiculous:

Ffmemleak

(Hi Gen! :P) We’re not running Photoshop or Renderman here people!  My browser has been up for only 2 days, and the one plugin (aka “Add-on”) I’ve got going is FireBug (no other plugins, as I try to figure out why FF keeps crashing).  Please tell me these memleaks will be cleaned up soon!

Digg! delicious

I wonder why you’d have it on for two days, unless you were downloading something very large (or slow!). Don’t get me wrong, because I think that’s asinine. (Oh, wait, it’s a feature…)

    Nicky,

I don’t think Matt is the only guy who keeps his PC on all the time (or just puts it into suspend mode rather than shutting down completely).

I rarely shut down completely, especially since I switched to using Panasonic laptops which are very stable in their standby/hibernate performance, something which could not be said for certain other previous laptops in my collection.

Having said that, I’m still on FF1.5 and TB1.5, and do a reboot once in a while because it does seem that there is a small leak somewhere which does eventually lead to a noticeable slowdown.
